Hi! My name is mem, I'm a young woman living with my partner and our fluffy moonshine Tinúviel (although we really call her "núvi", although you probably were not wondering, Tinúviel comes from the majestic works of J.R.R. Tolkien; 'tinúviel' itself means nightingale, and is the surname given to Lúthien, which means 'lady of the twilight'). During the pandemic, I lost my job, but it became the perfect excuse to adopt a kitten, thus nùvi came into our lives and she immediately became the queen of the house! Before I met my partner, I used to take care of my local feral colony, where I left part of my heart, especially to the cat that adopted me, my gorgeous Meen. My partner also has his fair share of furry, as he grew up with cats in the house, and we together took care of some of them when we lived together at his mother's place. In future, we would love to adopt old kitties to give them a loving home and plenty of love and cuddles in their twilight years. For now, our little núvi fills our hearts more than words can express. I like to refer to myself as a cat guardian, rather than a cat owner; my job as a guardian is to provide the best life for this creature that shares my same roof - and sometimes my food! - to make sure she is loved, that she lives a full, stimulating, entertaining cat life! Besides, you probably know that is the cat that owns you! Cats are liquid love, and you can't say you know love if you never had a cat sleeping on your lap! Cats aside, a long-time passion of mine is environmentalism, slowly but surely we are making progress in living plastic-free and zero-waste. I also love reading, writing, wood-burning, D&D and watching TV. A word of warning: once I started, I might not be able to stop cuddling your little furballs! x
