Pet care fits easily into my routine as I have a flexible schedule. This allows me to plan my day around cat sitting visits and be available for morning and evening check-ins when needed. I’m organised and used to following routines, so I can consistently cover feeding and litter care and any specific instructions.

In the owner’s home: I care for pets in their own home so they stay in a familiar, low stress environment. I follow their normal routine closely (feeding, litter care, play) and make sure they are safe, comfortable and well looked after during each visit. I am also fully DBS checked. In my own home: Cats stay in a safe, calm indoor environment in my top-floor home. I live with family (6) and have my own cats (2), so there is always someone around for company and supervision, meaning your cat will not be left alone for long periods. This also means extra play! My own cats share litter trays, however any visiting cat will have their own separate litter and dedicated space to ensure comfort and reduce stress. My cats also enjoy supervised time on the balcony for fresh air, and depending on owner preferences and safety, this may be considered for your cat as well. I make sure each cat has a calm, comfortable setup with routine, care and enrichment throughout their stay.

A typical day is calm and based around each cat’s normal routine, including feeding, litter care and regular check ins to make sure they’re comfortable and happy. For play and enrichment, I use toys like laser pointers, balls with bells and soft toy mice for chasing games, as well as a cat house with scratching posts for climbing, scratching, and relaxing. I always balance playtime with rest, depending on each cat’s personality and energy levels, so they feel safe, relaxed and entertained throughout the day.

I can’t recommend Mayesha highly enough. From the beginning, she was reliable, communicative and genuinely caring. It was clear that she really took the time to understand our cat’s personality and make her feel comfortable and safe while we were away. We received regular updates, including photos, which gave us real peace of mind. Our cat can be a little particular, but she warmed to Mayesha fairly quickly. When we came home, everything was spotless and our cat was relaxed and happy - always the best sign of great care. It’s such a relief to know we have someone we can completely trust with both our home and our pet. We’ll absolutely be booking her again in the future.
