Cat Sitting in Bruntsfield
Hello! I'm Madeleine, I am currently undertaking a Masters in Neuroscience at the University of Edinburgh. During this time, I'm looking to earn a bit of money to fund my postgraduate studies! I have nearly always had 2 or 3 cats in my life at a time, despite moving around a lot - in total, we have had 11 cats! Currently, we have a older black cat called Kali. As such, I have a lifetime of experience looking after my own and others’ cats from kittens to old age. Aside from cats and neuroscience, my other interests are reading, swimming, and cooking! I am a non-smoker.

Ratings and reviews
Madeleine was amazing. So lovely to our cat, lots of a photos and clearly cared about him. Left our flat lovely and clean, thanks again Madeleine.

Couldn't recommend higher! Was very apprehensive to leave my two cats for a more extended period than normal but Madeleine put us at ease with regular updates. We came back to two very happy cats :)
Came home to two very contented cats. The oldest one Lola spent our first night home sleeping in Madeline’s vacated room! Photos were sent every day and our home was left spotless. Would highly recommend.

Maddie has been amazing! She took care of our cat for 5 days while we were away. She sent regular pictures and clearly spent a lot of time with our kitty. She left our flat super clean when we returned home too. Also, was very accommodating when we had some delays with our travels which eased our anxieties a lot!

Madeleine took great care of our cat. She sent photos every day and was very communicative. Ovie was relaxed, well groomed and happy when we arrived home!

Madeleine was fantastic, she made sure my senior cat received her medication and additional chin rubs. She let me know daily how my cat was which was important as she has been poorly. It was comforting to know she was being cared for.

Schedule
I’m currently a full-time Masters student, so I am at uni 9-5 every weekday until the end of July. This means that on weekdays morning drop in visits would be between 7-9am, and evening drop ins between 5-11pm. Drop in visits last at least 30 mins. House-sitting includes overnight stays, and I would spend the majority of my free time at the house with your pet.
- Madeleine can host up to 2 drop-ins per day
- Let me know in your message where in Edinburgh you are located, and if you have a preference for visit timings. During the meet and greet, we can chat about whether your cat has any medical needs or issues to keep an eye out for, their routines, any quirky behaviours, and what sort of updates you’d like while you’re away!
