I currently work part time which gives me good flexibility to fit cat care into my routine. I aim to accommodate requested visit times as much as possible, with availability typically in the mornings and evenings, or both if two visits per day are needed! I understand how important routine is so I’ll always do my best to visit at times that suit both you and your cat's usual schedule. I’m happy to discuss specific timing requirements to make sure everything works smoothly and your cat's needs are fully met.

Safety, trust & environment

I offer drop-in visits in your cat’s own home, so they can stay happy and relaxed in a familiar environment while you’re away. Coming from a medical background, your cat’s safety and wellbeing are always my top priority. I’ll follow your routine as closely as possible, whether that’s feeding, playtime or giving medication if needed. I’m confident caring for cat's of all ages and personalities and I always take the time to build trust so they feel comfortable with me. I’ll also keep an eye on their health and behaviour, so you can feel reassured they’re in safe hands. During visits I’m happy to help with things like refreshing water, cleaning bowls, litter trays, or small tidy ups to keep everything nice for your return. I’ll also send regular updates and photos so you can see how your cat is getting on! 🐈

Information Louise (RVN ISFM CertFN) P. would like to know about your pet

Before caring for your cat, I like to gather as much information as possible to make sure I can provide the best and safest care. This includes their usual routine, feeding schedule, and any specific preferences or quirks they may have. It’s also really helpful to know about their temperament (for example, whether they’re nervous, reactive, or have any triggers I should be aware of). I’m particularly mindful of any medical needs, so I’ll ask about existing health conditions, medications, allergies, or anything you’d like me to monitor while you’re away.

A typical day

Every visit is tailored to your cat and what they enjoy most! I’ll always follow their usual routine, but I make sure each visit includes plenty of attention, care, and enrichment. I’m very guided by each cat’s personality, whether they’re full of energy or prefer a quieter approach. I’ll also make time for all the essentials like feeding, fresh water, and any medications if needed, always making sure everything is done calmly and safely.

Experienced Vet Nurse Care🐈‍⬛🐕RVN

Cat care experience

Hi! 😊👋 I’m Louise, a registered Veterinary Nurse with over 10 years’ experience. I’m especially passionate about cats and have spent the last 3 years working exclusively with them in a busy hospital. I also hold the ISFM Certificate in Feline Nursing, which means I’ve got a strong understanding of behaviour, nutrition, life stages and medical care. I can offer both loving care and professional support for you and your companion. I’m confident giving medications, caring for senior cats, and looking after those with medical needs. I’m also great with nervous or shy cats and use gentle, low-stress handling to help them feel safe. Your cat will be in experienced, caring hands while you’re away! 🐾

Louise is incredible! She took such amazing care of our two cats. One of our cats requires liquid oral medication twice a day and she absolutely hates it! Louise made the whole process so easy. Our girls loved her. Her communication was excellent and the level of knowledge and expertise she has meant I could go away and truly relax knowing the most precious parts of our lives were safe and cared for.

I had peace of mind knowing Louise was looking after our baby Willow <3 She even came in for a meet and greet beforehand and wrote us in detail how Willow was doing every day of our vacation, which for a cat mom really helps. Thank you!
