Hello, my name is Kareen Kolster, I am from Venezuela and I am an animal lover, I have had dogs, birds, and cats and I know how to deal with cats and dogs. I have volunteered at cat and dog shelters in my country, taking care of the sick ones and the puppies. I have some experience training dogs and I am very loving and patient with cats. I know how to take care of them and pamper them. I know some tricks to handle cats when it comes to grooming and giving them medicine. I love to play with dogs and teach them tricks. Pets really love me and I love them. I would take care of your precious family member as my own.

Absolutely fab! Luna is a super shy cat and got on with Kareen really well. We were kept up to date with lots of photos and videos which we loved! We couldn’t have asked for more!
Kareen thankyou so much for looking after my two cats with such love and care, and for sending me those photos, they are 2 happy felines and we are a happy family on our return from holiday!

Schedule
I’m a graphic designer freelancer, so I have a flexible routine and plenty of time to give your pet the attention they deserve. I’m available throughout the week for walks, drop-ins, house sitting and boarding. I enjoy spending time at home, so pets staying with me get lots of company, affection and playtime rather than being left alone for long periods.

I know how important it is to feel completely comfortable with the person looking after your pet. I’ll follow their usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding, walks, medication and any little habits that help them feel settled. I’m patient and attentive, and I’ll always respect your instructions and your home. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can relax knowing they’re happy and well cared for.
A typical day
Every pet is different, so I like to adapt the day to their personality and energy levels. For dogs, that might mean walks, exploring the local area, playtime, enrichment and plenty of cuddles and downtime at home. With cats, I’m just as happy playing and keeping them entertained or simply giving them space and quiet company. My aim is for their time with me to feel safe, relaxed and fun.

- I’d love to know as much as possible about your pet before we start — their normal routine, personality, favourite things, feeding schedule and anything that makes them nervous or uncomfortable. Please also tell me about any medical needs, allergies, medication, behavioural quirks or difficulties around other animals or people. The more I know, the easier it is for me to make them feel completely at home.
