I am a retired civil servant with 32 years of service. So I have plenty of free time on my hands. We have quite a packed diary - I enjoy going on holiday with my wife.s. But there are plenty of periods when I am home.

Safety, trust & environment
Unfortunately, I have no pets of my own because I live in an over-55s residential development where pets are not allowed. I love to look after other people's pets, but I am always sad to pass them back to their owners.
Information John B. would like to know about your pet
Unfortunately, I have no pets of my own, but I enjoy being in their company. Bigger dogs may pose a problem for me in controlling them outside.
A typical day
I love spending time with pets, engaging with them in play activities of stroking them. I enjoy walks in the countryside, so it would be great to take a dog(s) with me for company.

Cat care experience
To introduce myself, my name is John, and I am a retired civil servant with 32 years of service. I am still not yet at State Pension age, having taken early retirement because I am financially secure now. I have no children. I am a non-smoker. I am in good health, but now prefer the quieter side of life and enjoy activities at a slower, more relaxed pace. I like to think of myself as a calm, neat, and tidy person. I am friendly, easygoing, with a good sense of humour. I am confident and able to handle situations and any complications that may unexpectedly arise. I have a deep love for animals and a passion for travel. Now that I am retired, I have more time on my hands to visit new places, travel, explore the countryside, and eat out. And because I am retired now, generally, I have some flexibility with the dates around which bookings are made. So, if your planned dates to be away change somewhat, I should be able to fit in with any unexpected changes in your departure and return dates. I am happy to arrive shortly before you leave so that I can meet and receive any instructions on any special requirements regarding the house and pets. At the end of the assignment, I would be happy to buy some bread and milk, etc., for you if you don't have a chance to go shopping on your return. Why I want to house sit: Unfortunately, I have no pets of my own because I live in an over-55s residential development where pets are not allowed. I would love to look after other people's pets, but I will always be sad to pass them back to their owner(s) after a while. My principal aim will be to ensure that your home and beloved furry companion(s) are cared for with utmost devotion. I have a strong moral compass, instinctively knowing right from wrong whilst continuously upholding those principles. My love for animals is endless, as I cherish all precious creatures. I enjoy the experience of getting to know a new pet's personality, along with visiting new places and meeting new people. I am looking forward to immersing myself in this environment and providing assistance to pet owners. Creating a warm and caring environment is important to me, where one can feel like a cherished member of the family while respecting the responsibility of caring for other people's homes and their beloved animals. I would welcome the opportunity to care for your home, garden, and pets with care, consideration, and affection. My experience: I have previously completed a number of pet-sitting assignments and really enjoyed the experience. I appreciated the trust these homeowners had placed in me and wanted to make this process enjoyable for them, knowing I had taken care of their home and the precious animals. I can send you the homeowner's five-star reviews for you to view if you wish
