I know some people find it hard to have a stranger in their home. That’s why I like to meet up with the homeowner and their pets before any agreement is reached.

Don’t forget to let me know if your pets have any particular likes or dislikes. For instance: is a belly rub enjoyable, or will I lose a finger if I try it? And please leave a list of emergency contact numbers. It’s never happened yet, but if an animal in my care gets sick, I don’t want to have to ring every vet in town to find out where they’re registered.
A typical day
Every cat is different, and every cat “owner” knows that their furry ones are actually in charge! Whether yours likes to snuggle, play, or just be left alone, they’ll get what they need from me.

I'm a semi-retired bookkeeper and also teach line dancing. After losing my beloved ginger, Mel (originally Melody - the rescue thought he was a she!), I couldn't face having another animal straight away: and now that I'm not earning much and everything is so much more expensive post-Brexit and post-Covid, I don't know whether I can commit to having my own cat again. But I desperately miss having a furry friend to fall asleep on my chest during afternoon naps (and occasionally punch me in the face for no apparent reason...). I have previously been DBS checked for different jobs but at the time of writing this I don't have an up-to-date one. I'm happy to do this if required.

Jo looked after Blue, my beautiful cat. When I came home, he was happy and settled.She was excellent at communicating, and I would recommend her to pet sit.She really does love animals, and I felt relieved she was loving him whilst I was away.
