I have two gorgeous rescue cats that I brought back with me when I moved home from the Middle East - Mimo is a torty and she rules the house and takes over the bed on a nightly basis, and Nugget is a teeny tiny tabby who loves to play and curl up on your lap. Both are now house cats after I nearly lost Mimo to a car accident a few years ago, and they happily adjusted very well. I have adored cats my whole life, I had a beautiful big ginger tom growing up and as such, they hold a particular place in my heart.
