As a student coming towards the end of my degree, my timetable is becoming far more flexible and I am often free during the afternoons. I do not choose my hours, however I will never be timetabled outside the hours of 8:00-5:00 and often am in my placement far fewer hours than these. Due to having my own cat I am not able to board your cat in my home. However I am more than happy to attend early in the morning, later on in the evening, or at any point during the day where possible depending on your cat's needs, just tell me their usual routine and I'm sure I can fit myself in completely!

I will ensure your home is safe and secure, with no hazards left out whilst I am not around. I'll make sure your pet has plenty of water, tidy spots to sit in (my cat loves a nice tidy sofa!) and will lock up securely. Before you leave, I'll take all medical details for your pet including their veterinary practice location and any medications or conditions they may have. I would always like to come and meet your cat in person and am happy to do multiple visits especially if they are shy or reserved, to keep them at ease as much as we can whilst you are away. I will also provide daily updates during my visits! I will always treat your pet as they are my own, as that is how I'd always want mine to be treated.
Information Ella C. would like to know about your pet
Let me know any extra needs your cat has, I'm more than happy to add on any extra care they might need - whatever that may be!
A typical day
Having a playful cat myself, I know exactly how to keep them entertained! During my visit I will say hello to your fur baby, I'll put their food out for them at the time they would usually be fed, and whilst they're eating I will check over their usual spots to make sure things are clean and tidy for them, and of course will tackle the litter box. This will be scooped entirely and refreshed every visit, and during longer periods I will give it a deep clean, every few days. After all the jobs are done, it will be time to have a cuddle and a play, if that's what your cat would like! I'm also always happy to give them their space if they need it, and of course I'll be updating you throughout this time.

Cat care experience
Hi, my name is Ella and I am a final year student studying medicine! We have had cats in our family since I was 12 years old, and I am now a cat parent myself alongside my partner to our gorgeous little Mila, our 6-year-old tortie we rescued in 2024. I love cats and will be committed and flexible to fit into their routine. Please see my full cat care experience section for more details about me, and send me a message for a chat! I have many years of experience with cats, but since having Mila my understanding and knowledge has grown immensely. I have loved learning more about how to best care for my own cat; how much stimulation and attention they need, their nutrition, how to read their body language, and any signs of poor health to look out for. Our Mila is an independent cat - she loves a play and a stroke but always on her own terms! I've come to recognise how her behaviour changes when she would like some love, compared to when she would like some space and I can apply this knowledge to your cat, too. As a bit of an anxious cat parent myself, I completely understand how hard it is to leave your baby at home whilst you go away! I will therefore do my absolute best to ease your worries, providing plenty of photos, videos and information about how your fur baby is getting on. I am flexible and more than happy to fit into their routine, and can adapt my visits based on their needs and wants. I am a final year medical student, and in a few months I will qualify to work as a doctor in the UK. Although I don't have a veterinary background, I do have a deep understanding of disease signs and symptoms in general, and have found there to be some overlap between people and pets. I have learnt that my medical knowledge is certainly helpful when spotting illnesses in my own cat, and I am confident that I know the signs to look out for. I drive and have access to a car, and would not hesitate to seek veterinary care for your pet if they were to ever need it. I have knowledge of medications and would also be happy to administer these if your cat has any regular medicines. For me, your pet's health and wellbeing come first!
